It looks rather ordinary on the outside but inside is very spacious and nice. I had the french toast with apples, it was very soft and lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed it! My husband had ham benny which was just average, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. The french woman who served us was very nice and a great waitress. I did really enjoy our breakfast and would go again if we are in Harrison. :)
Food: A1. Delicious French toast with apples and cinnamon. REAL maple syrup, people. I know it's expected, but it has to be appreciated. The croissant with scrambled egg special had lovely soft and tender eggs - perfect execution. Home fries were crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. Really great coffee, too - from a local place called the Back Porch. Service: Prompt, and really friendly.Ambience: Rustic, local, very clean and tidy, open air restaurant. Patio looked great.
The food was really good. The prices were good. The service was good. I really like the cabin / farmhouse vibe of the place. I had the salmon benny with a side of hash browns and my wife had it with a fruit salad.
Drove to Harrison just to try Harrison Corner Cafe one Saturday morning. The day we went happened to be a day the chef was away catering a wedding, so the remaining staff were only offering one basic breakfast - "The Usual".We were disappointed because we were hoping to try some other items on the menu that lured us out a long way from home; but since we had come all the way, we opted to try "The Usual".It came with eggs, toast, bacon, breakfast potatoes, and sausage. Everything was done nicely - eggs perfectly cooked and bacon on the softer side, which I like better than burnt to a crisp. The potatoes were delicious and crispy! Really good flavour. The sausage and toast were standard but good. The quality of the food and cooking were good, but not worth driving an hour from home to have.Would like to come back some time and try other things on the menu as we had originally hoped. The regular menu has a great selection, and the selection of craft beers was good as well! The young gentleman who served us was very attentive and polite, we were impressed by him! (though we were only one of two tables in the restaurant at the time)
Great place for breakfast in Harrison Hot Springs! My wife and I went yesterday, it was not too busy but had a good crowd. Feels like a log cabin inside which is neat, sort of like a mountain getaway. Staff was friendly and attentive and meals were large so we shared the big breakfast which was ideal. Asked for well done non runny scrambled eggs and got underdone but otherwise everything else was excellent.Close to beach and other amenities, easy to park with no hourly fees. Will be back!
